What the file you were sent actually is
A CanQuiz quiz exports as a text file holding the questions, the options and the correct answers. It takes up a few kilobytes, travels over WhatsApp or email like any attachment, and never expires.
- No account, nothing to install
- The file opens in your own browser. You can take the whole quiz, see what you got wrong and retake it without signing up.
- Keeping it is a separate step
- To keep it, review it over time or edit it, you need a free account. The quiz then becomes yours, and whoever sent it can no longer change it.
- The file is not uploaded anywhere
- Until you sign in, the contents stay on your device: the browser reads the file and nothing travels to a server.
If the file will not open
If someone sent it to you, it has to be the file CanQuiz’s export button produces. A screenshot, a PDF or a copied link will not work here: if what you have is a link, open it in your browser instead.
